what is the difference between form 16 and 16A and when it is applicable?

Form 16 is issued in case of employer-employee relation exists. In other cases form 16A is used.

Form 16 if tds deducted on salary u/s 192 and form 16A for TDS dedcuted on residents except u/s 192.
