If a charitable trust is offered donation from abroad, are they allowed to accept such donation? are such donations exempt from tax? is it required to register with Income tax or any other authorities before accepting such donation.

Indian Trust has to get registration under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act(FCRA)2010 before receiving any donation from abroad .
Such donations have to be expended as per the provisions of sec 11 and 12 of Income Tax Act,1961, to claim deduction.
