16 September 2017 For AY 2016-17, you have time to file before 31-03-2018.

You can file ITR for AY 2016-17 without filing ITR for AY 2015-16. Pls note that if you have tax liability during the PY 2014-2015(AY 2015-16) you can be penalized.
