hi.... i want to start preparing myself for ca final on my own... my attempt is in May 2016 ...can u please suggest what should i start with?

start with subjects which dont change a lot such as costing, FM, ISCA (refer to new material for ISCA as applicable from Nov 14). Then cover non-companies act related portion of law, accounts and audit. once applicability of companies act 2013 is clear, cover the companies act portion of these three subjects.
You can then cover the direct and indirect tax laws. given that new govt is coming in next couple of months, you may find some traction of GST and DTC. So that portion of course can go under a drastic change...thats why I suggest you cover it at the end.
