14 January 2014 Dear Sir,

I am salaried professional and I could not file my income tax return for fin year ended 31st March 2013.

Pls advise till what date I can file.

will there be any penalty on me.

14 January 2014 if you file before 31 March 2014, no penalty...only interest is applicable if there is any unpaid tax liability in accordance to 234A, 234B, 234C

if you file between 31 march 2014 -31 March 2015, penalty of Rs 5000 can be levied..
