14 March 2014 I want to file ITR for AY 2013-14 now but problem is that my client is died on 02-01-2014.

so i want to know that what is the requirement of filing ITR. is it required to inform IT dept? if yes, how?

14 March 2014 It should b filed by adding Estate before the name of ur client..

Or u can file the return of Income earned upto 01/01/2014, & after that the remaining 3 months Income should b clubbed to his legal heir account & same to b dealt in ITR.

After that if there is any income which is expected to b received by the deceased should b added to his legal hear account.
