Filing it for freelancers - any templateavailable?

31 January 2012 Hi,

I am a freelancer, working from home.
I have registered myself at freelancing sites, and bid on projects. All payments are in USD. Payments are made to my acct at the respective sites. After deducting site's administration/ service charges, I am allowed to transfer the funds in USD to my bank account here in India in INR. All transactions are in my name, I have a valid PAN

I rarely take up private clients, which means, I dont raise an invoice at my end.

I manage my clientele via freelancing sites, so that a perfect transaction history is maintained. I am allowed to downlaod these reports as excel / pdf, if need be.

My question is :
So far, my earnings has been less than 1L/yr. But, looking at the prospects aheaad, I hope to cross the "minimum lmit for women" soon (guess its 1.5L.. isnt it?)

when that day comes, I would like to file my own IT papers. But, I have no clue as to how to go about this.Is there a template / documentation available that I can use?

PS: My local CA is "recommending" me to register a "company". He tells me thats how its done. However, I am not at all for this idea. Being a freelancer, I am not really keen on establishing a "company".

Do i have the option of filing as "freelancer" .. me solo.

23 December 2012 Hi Experts,

Although I posted this query in Jan 2012, this is still open.

I have searched thro this (and many other) forums, for filing IT guidance for feelancers, and could not locate any.

Can you of you experts please help.
