Filing income tax return for my son who is abroad (NRI)

My son has only interest income on his NRO account from which TDS has been deducted. No other income in INDIA. He is settled abroad and paying income tax over there.
NRO Interest income is only about Rs. 5000/-
NRE interest income is tax free about Rs 3000/-
Can I file return on his behalf as he has given me PW to do the same.
which ITR No. to file.
Showing in return that I have filed on his behalf
or teach him new portal.

Just Power will not work. You have to register as "Authorised Signatory for Income Tax Returns/Forms" over the E-filing site, to file his income return.
As such ITR filling is not mandatory, in this case; still you wish you need pass through the process.

Your son himself can file ITR from outside India and claim refund of TDS. Ask him to file ITR 1 which is simple, he can file it.
