File return for the fy 2011-12

30 June 2014 Dear Experts,

If a person having income from salary and salary income is non taxable, can he file income tax return for last 03 years,(2011-12, 2012-13 & 2013-14) at present, if yes then is there any penalty risk or something else??

30 June 2014 Return for FY 2011-2012 can not be filed now since the same is time barred. You can file belated return for FY 2012-2013. For FY 2013-2014 due date for filing of return is 31st July 2014.

30 June 2014 you can the iTR from Fy 2012-13 amnd onwards. for year before F Y 2012-13 return time is already time barred.
