Pls let me know weather manufacturer and sale of Spices (masala) and Pickles under own brand name would attract Excise Duty.

12 December 2015 Yes is a Manufacture.

If the previous year turnover is less than 400 lakhs then you will be treated as SSI and in current year you can claim Value based Exemption till 150lakhs and no Excise Duty is payable. Otherwise you need to pay Excise Duty
