I Want to know whether the excise duty on CST purchases is eligible for Cenvat Credit.

06 March 2014 Yes excise duty credit is admissible. Excise duty is levied by the Central Govt. CENVAT of excise duty is NOT dependent on whether the goods have been purchased from within the state or outside the state.
