21 February 2014 dear sir just i want to know that, is there any ceiling limit of employer contribution in EPf. if employee is getting 120000 basic salary in a month and contributing 12% on basic and employer is also contributing same amount . as per EPF act is it correct?

21 February 2014 Actually i am article of ca firm . n m doing internal audit of company. my question is, can employer contribute 12% on basic salary (rs.120000) or is there any limit?

21 February 2014 it is not can...you have to contribute at 12%. there is no upper limit on the absolute amount..only the percentage is fixed.

21 February 2014 you mean employer can't contribute 120000@12%=14400. employer is laible to pay only 12% on maximum basic salary rs.6500.As per U he should Pay 6500@12% rs. 780 only.....m i correct??
