For EPF, is ECR (electronic return) to be filed on a monthly basis?
Notification says ECR is substitute for monthly, 3A & 6A filing - does this mean annual filing is no longer required?

16 April 2012 Yes now a days it is to be filed electronically as all the department data have been converted into electronic format and with your registration number it is linked.

there is no need to file 3A & 6A henceforth? Just monthly ECR is sufficient?

29 April 2012 yes. ECR need to submit electronically monthly basis as said by expert, but the same time annual return also need to be filed. no specific instructions for removing annual returns
