30 October 2015 Suppose the cost of ticket is Rs 1000/-
and the discount is Rs 200/- . Say entertainment tax(ET) is applicable . Can u please sort out whether the ET is calculated on 800/1000.

30 October 2015 Assuming 1000 is exclusive of entertainment tax :

Since discount is 200, the tax shall be calculated on 800/-.

(In cinematography industry, the discount needs to be pre approved from the entertainment tax officer)
