10 June 2011 our firm is engage in construction work and registered under EPF act,but i am having some queries regarding epf deduction
1)our firm is having no. of sub-contractor they carry out the work along with the material.
2)No.of patty contractor are deployed on the work site to carryout different types of works are they covered under epf deductions
3)if the workers/patty contractor/sub-contractor & employee working in the office or at site are not willing to contribute to the epf then what to do
4)At what rate pf is to deducted from the patty contractor/sub-contractor we dont know how much labour he is deploying at site

11 June 2011 You have to have your on PF registration.
If you have employed sub contractor or petty contractor and such sub contractor is deducting and paying PF of his employees you need not pay PF but should have enough proof with you of the employment and payment of PF.
You need to pay their contribution also if the workers are not willing to pay
