Employee TDS refund

My company has deducted excess TDS from me and even if they don't cut any income tax from me now there is still excess tax which has been deducted. Is there a way this can be refunded back by the company to me?

02 March 2009 The employer is not permitted by law to refund to the employee the excess tax deducted by them. The employee may file his/her income return and claim the excess deducted as refund

02 March 2009 You can claim your refund only from the Income tax department by filing your ITR.

02 March 2009 Furnish proof of savings and rent payment etc., information to Accounts or Finance Department promptly and never pick up any quarrel with staff working in these departments especially in last quarter of every financial year
