I have a commercial connection of electricity for which payment is to be made to electricity department,Now Service tax department say as you have a commercial connection of electrcity and have Private generator you have to pay service tax on per unit of electricity consume @ .05% per unit and also on generator used @.05% per Unit.Now question is that how far this is justified ?

Ask the department to give in writing and also ask them under which clause and sub clause of the Service tax it is covered. In my opinion no such amendment has been brought in the act
