Hi sir,
If a company is not selling and purchasing anything and it want to use the e-sugam for transportation,is it necessary to register for vat?

Generally,traders only keep using e-sugam facilities. Some times,other organisations like research institutes,hospitals,eucational establishments etc require to buy taxable goods either locally or interstate.To help such cases Commissioner of Commercial Taxes,Karnataka has issued a circular giving guidelines to the concerned officers. As per this circular a person/organisation not registered under vat rules has to file an application before the jurisdictional JCCT(vig) giving details of the machine/equipment/goods that are to be carried,value purpose,consignor,invoice,address consignee,address,date to be transported etc. After satisfying with details,he will issue a permit,within three days,for smooth movement.....mjk
