27 September 2012 By mistake I acquired two Pan Cards of same name.. now what to do to cancel 1 pan card and what will be the other consequences, if any. Pls help

27 September 2012 Since PAN No. are Different, A Penalty is Charged to Extent of 10000/- Rs. & 6 Months Imprisonment.

Do One Thing, Just Write a request letter to NOSDL Giving Proper reason, Ask to NSDL Office, I Mean First Consult With Them, If Seem There is Scope on Not to be Penalised in Your Case by Hearing Your Proper reason, Then Submitt Change Form.

27 September 2012 If the both the PAN Cards are in the name of same person, select and keep any one PAN card for you as per your choice and surrender other PAN card to IT Dept immediately.

Having more than one PAN card is an offence and penal provisions are applicable.
