Do dentists also need to charge service tax and vat on dental services?

It will fall under health care services exempted from service tax.

VAT will apply if there is sale of goods from a pharmacy kind of setup. However if any medicine or any other goods (like cotton for example) is used at the time of treatment, then in my opinion, VAT shall not apply on those items.
