08 March 2020 I filed my income tax return in dec-2019, I have got a mail from the department for Disallowances/Defects identified in the Income Tax Return. as below.

Your Income Tax return ITR-3 uploaded for AYHPG1419J and AY 2019-20 has the following defect(s)

1 Income from "Profits and Gains from Business or Profession" is greater than 2.5 lakhs but particulars as in "Balance sheet/Profit and Loss Account" are not filled Income Tax Return may be treated as defective if particulars in "Balance sheet/Profit & Loss Account" are not filled Please fill Balance sheet/Profit & Loss Account

Now suggest me, how to respond against this query, because of notice not received u/s 139(9),
Can I file a revised return or give it to response.

08 March 2020 Respond to the notice by choosing 'agree' option. Them cure the defect in ITR-3 and upload the defect free return under option 139(9).

08 March 2020 Thank you Sir,
but I filed my income tax return in dec-2019, Today when i clicked on Response to Notice u/s 139(9) their massage show is no record found. can i upload a revised return?

08 March 2020 Please see "My Filed Returns" Tag also. It is possible that the department has cleared and accepted the return.
In case of defective returns you are required to file rectification return.
