Please let me know what is the difference between "advance against director remuniration", or "advance director remuneration"

Advance against remuneration means the advance paid on the basis of remuneration and recovered in installment or lumpsum
Advance director remuneration means paying remuneration in advance before accruing will be set off fully with the immediate remuneration payable
