From when is the Direct Tax code going to be come in application?

If it is passed, then come into application from 1/4/2011

The Direct Tax Code will be introduced as a Bill in Parliament’s winter session. If passed, it will become the new Income Tax Act, replacing the existing IT Act of 1961.
