If the DIN is rejected due to the photo not been attested , what is the alternative.

1) take a print of the old din and attest it and sent it again
or
2) make a fresh application for DIN, obtain provisional DIN and then Pay the fees again and sent it

12 June 2010 Relevant extract of a DIN rejection letter of MCA is given below.

"You are required to file a fresh application for allotment of DIN. You should ensure that the application is complete in all respects and the reason(s) for rejection as given above are fully addressed while filling the fresh application. In case no change is required in the DIN application form but only providing supporting (proof) documents - please submit correct document(s) again, referring provisional DIN number".

As per the last sentence, it seems to me that the answer given by Sanjay Gupta Ji can be followed.
