In the process of filing DIN-4, on entering the PAN number(which is unregistered in the DIN database),an error is displayed as
"APPLICANT NAME IS NOT MATCHING WITH THE PAN DATABASE"
Please suggest.

In this case, firstly you update you DIN, according to your DIN.

In other way, you can change your PAN as per DIN information.

After matching of PAN with DIN you can change the DIN accordingly.

24 July 2013 i) Create a dummy income tax e-challan using the PANo. Then you can know the name given and recorded in PAN data base.

ii) In DIN-4, also tick mark the box 'Director/Designated Partner name under clause 2 viz., Type of change', enter the name as obtained as in (i) above so that PANo will get validated.
