Hi,
What is the difference between Canceled and
Inactive TIN number.Is it possible to apply
new TIN number if Existing TIN number
inactive.

IF NO RETURN IS FILED OR NIL RETURN IS FILED CONTINOUSLY FOR SOME MONTHS, THE DEPARTMETN AFTER GIVING OPPORTUNITY WILL CANCEL THE TIN/RC.
AFTER CANCELLATION, IT WILL BE INACTIVE.
WHY SHOULD YOU ALLOW THE DEPT TO CANCEL AND TO APPLY NEW TIN?
WITH DIFFERENT NAME, ONE CAN APPLY.
