dear sir, why depreciation calculated as per income tax act & companies act ? , what is the main intention of law.

it is nothing but a dichotomy where two acts passed by the same parliament have provisions which unnecessarily create complication.
there have been demands to harmonize the company act and income tax for depreciation. lets hope they will do it soon.
