Demand draft info?

09 April 2016 I made a demand draft payable at mumbai in favour of "THE SECRETARY, THE INSTITUTE OF CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS OF INDIA". for registration for orientation program in cuffe parade but now there are no seats available so is this demand draft acceptable at thane branch orientation...plzz help

10 April 2016 But on registration portal it is given that for thane branch dd should be in favour thane branch of wirc of icai ac orientation so is this
dd applicable at that branch even though the name is the secratary the icai... plzz help

11 April 2016 Try to understand the point : Every branch is empowered to collect money from the students. It is also empowered to open the bank account in the name of the branch. For the specific courses, branches do ask for the demand drafts payable in the name and style of xxxxxxx a/c orientation course. This is to ease out the accounting work.
Now in your case : You have committed some error. Right? So, understand that yours is an EXCEPTIONAL and extra ordinary case. Be polite, requestfull, submissive and tell the branch that this has happened through over sight and PLEASE help me as "Cancelling the demand draft has become VERY difficult and cumbersome" OK?????
In that case, the branch MAY allow you with the said demand draft because every branch comes under the respective zone.
Take the help of a CA in your area please.
