10 May 2014 I had filed my income tax return for AY 2013-14 on 25.06.2013. ITR V was sent but was not acknowledged in the system. I had submitted a fresh ITRV which has been updated as "recieved on 23.04.2014". The system shows a message - " Recieved after Due Date"

Please advise further course of action to be taken

10 May 2014 this means return filed by you is non-est. you need to refile the return and then send the new ITRV to income-tax department CPC

10 May 2014 Please advise me on the following
1. under which rule the new ITR should be filed.
2. As per the return, there is a refund claim of approx Rs.5000. Please advise if the return would be tretaed as a return filed within time or a delayed return.

10 May 2014 return shall be delayed one. as such you shall have to file revised return under 139(5). however, for all practical purposes, it shall be treated as a late return under 139(4).
