let say on a debt security interest is payable on 6 monthly basis, say 30 june and 31 dec.
so if you sell the security on 30 april, so interest from 1 Jan to 30 April shall be referred to as broken period interest.
so if you sell the security on 30 april, so interest from 1 Jan to 30 April shall be referred to as broken period interest.
