IF insurance premium paid by assesse for his father than can he claim deduction u/s 80c.

Premium paid fro insurance policies taken for parents is NOT eligible for deduction u/s 80C.

LIC premium cannnot be cliamed as deduction. If it is a medical insurance premium taken for his depenedet ( Father or mother) can be claimed as deduction U/s 80 D
