My friend has recently started a company in Tamilnadu. He purchased machinery from other state and and requested the CTO, for 'C' form. But the CTO informed that since the particular machinery has not been included in the Registration certificate (CST), he cannot issue C form as per the provisons. Is it possible to get the C form after getting amendment in RC. What required to be done in this case. Please give your opinion. Thaking you,

My view,Registration certificate can be amend but it will be effect from further, cannot be retrospective effect

the opinion of the CTO is correct. only those goods can be purchased at concessional rate which is coverd in RC. and which is purchase and sale by the dealers. in your case you have to pay the diffrence CST with interest if any to the selling dealer
