23 October 2010 I want to know which is the good book to prepare the tax paper(direct and indirect tax) of cs professional programme.
Is there any need to take the coaching for the indirect tax portion?

24 October 2010 For IDT simply go for Vandana Bangar book...

For Direct Tax theory you may go for Girish Ahuja or TN Manohara.

For Direct Tax practicals you may go for VK Singhania.
