10 August 2010 Hello,
Whether Cenvat Credit is available to Manufacturer and Service Provider on Works Contract(8%) in Maharashtra State ? Further in what proportion(%) cenvat credit will be available to them ?

10 August 2010 I suppose whatever paid above 4% VAT is allowed as input credit.

Better get more opinions.

you are asking CENVAT or Local VAT

Local VAT- Some state input is not available, some state can be taken

Under ST- Cenvat available for Work contractor
