credit of interest

24 March 2011 Please suggest that when interest on FDR to be credited in books of accounts.After received of Form 16A what entry should be made in books of accounts considering tds deducted on interest. please reply soon.

24 March 2011 Interest may be credited on due basis or cash basis as per method of accounting adopted by you.
Amount of TDS deducted may as per form 16A may be transferred to TDS account from the interest receivable account.
