11 October 2011 I want to know about the courses (Indian as well as international) that would be of great benefit along with my CA from ICAI. courses can be accounting, costing or anything related to commerce.

11 October 2011 I would suggest you to go for Cost Accountant (the capmus placements are good) and also CFA (International) - scope is good. Rest depends on your interests !!!

11 October 2011 according to me CA + CS is batter option.
no doubt CWA is also good course but with CA, CS is batter one.

12 October 2011 Hi Ravi & Jay,

I dont think CS will do any good(again my view, unless you want a career in corporate law). If you are considering CS, then better consider Cost Accountant.

CPA is equivalent of CA in U.S.
If you are planning to practise in US, then CPA is mandatory.

12 October 2011 I am not saying anything against CA+CS. I just presented my views.
If given an option I'll go for ICWA + CFA(INT)... apart from CA.
ICWA is good from campus placements perspective. The candidates get good package and postings from ICWAI campus programmes.
CFA(Int) is a really good pure finance course. The scope will be immense 2 yrs down the line.

My suggestion is ...

If you want to do practice, then do CA+CWA, else do CS+LLB.

But if you want to do service, nothing is better than CS
