Please suggest conveyance allowance and transport allowance both are same or not

Conveyance Allowance and Transport Allowance both are different. Conveyance Allowance is deductible to the extent of actual expenditure incurred on conveyance. Whereas Transport Allowance is exempt u/s 10(14) @ Rs.800/- pm. Transport Allowance is an allowance paid to an employee to meet expenditure on commuting between place of residence and place of duty.
