17 September 2017 Dear sir,

If assasse have turnover upto 20 lakh then no require for GST but if I have turnover upto 20 lakh but assasse want registration in GST then registration should be take in composition or normal and we required to pay tax or not up to 20 lakh turnover.

17 September 2017 If you take registration then you have to pay tax from Rs.1 irrespective of your turnover. You can opt for composition if all rules satisfied by you.

17 September 2017 You can't opt composition if

1.You supply interstate
2.You have stock purchased from outside state
3. You provide services
4. You have goods purchase from unregistered dealer & no tax paid on it.
5. You are mfg of tobacco, pan masala & ice creams.

17 September 2017 As a normal assessee you can take the SSI exemption upto 20 lakhs no need to pay duty and filing of return is mandatory.

18 September 2017 If you get register either in normal or composition scheme in GST , you have to pay tax on your supply irrespective of your turnover.
