17 August 2014 Can a private / public company commence any business other than the main object under new companies act, 2013 ?

18 August 2014 Business to be carried out by company should be covered in Main object clause of the company. So if the same is not in main object you should amend your MOA accordingly.

18 August 2014 Our Public Company is having (dealing in) 6 business (viz. trading of shares, Manufacturing of Steel, Construction, Export of plastics, Man power supply and Buying and selling of Clothes).

can we add 6 business activity in main object.

18 August 2014 As per my understanding NO.

ROC would never allowed such diversified object clause when you filed your MOA for approval.
