Change of articleship firm

17 July 2013 Hello Sir/Madam,

Iam a ca -final student, doing articleship training in a small firm in chennai.I am not satisfied with the training & so i want to change my firm. I have completed 10 months of training .I want to know whether I can change my firm within first one year of articleship,i.e without giving any reason to ICAI or are there any restrictions on changing the firm within first one year of articleship.

17 July 2013 Yes, meena you are correct..

for transfer during 1st year of articleship

1)prior approval of icai not required from icai

2)take signature of your boss in form 109 and send to icai along with id card obtained under him with in 30 days from date if transfer

3)After that you can re-join with other employer with out waiting for icai confirmation letter fro transfer..because no doubt icai will approve transfer with in one year cases surely

4)you need to file form 103 to icai for the rest of period with in 30 dsy from the date of joining under new ca
