13 January 2014 Respected Sir,

We are insurance Broker and we have already obtained service tax registration ...now we have done some interior decoration work in our office for which we have made the payment ..in light of the recent amendment as a service receiver we are also liable to pay Service Tax of 50% ..can you please explain the procedure for adding the new service in the service tax registration..

13 January 2014 you need to ammend the service tax reg certificate and additionally u need to register as service tax rec under reverse charge mechanism.

13 January 2014 Sir I understand that I need to amend the Existing Service Tax Registration ..But do I need to Register as a service Receiver as well as u mentioned in your earlier reply.

13 January 2014 yes you need to register as servcie receiver under RCM as in your first query u said that you are liable to pay 50% of service tax as service receiver.

So this require a Sap-rate registration all together and if yes than whats the point in amending the existing ST registration

13 January 2014 no, u dont need to make separate application instaed you need to ammend the existing as i said above.

13 January 2014 exactly i dont know but i have heard that there is some fees for ammending ur registration.
