22 October 2015 Challan not showing shubham agrawal shubham agrawal by 2015 dear sir, i have paid a challan of income tax of self assessment tax of rs5000 on 27sep2010 for f.y. 09-10 but challan details are not showing on it site and now i have recvd a demand notice of rs6000 so whAt can i do notice is from my local ao pls. help me but sir, i have lost my challan copy but i have bank statement and cheque no throygh which i have paid the challan is it enough to close demand or whether i have to ask bank to provide another challan copy to me..

22 October 2015 Get a certificate from the concerned bank (Paying bank) and show it to the concerned Assessing Officer.

If AO is unable to do the same, please contact the tax recovery officer of your jurisdiction.
