Original document is lost.

Institute issued a Duplicate Copy of Original Document.

Q1: Can Certified True copy be issued on the basis of Duplicate Copy ?

Case : 2

Exam Result published Online.

Q1: Can Certified True Copy be issued on the basis of a website result ?

Kindly advise on the above two cases.

18 August 2012 CASE1: on the strength of DUPLICATE, you can issue certified true copy. (Disclose the fact that you have certified on the strength of DUPLICATE copy) CASE2:If you are sure of the web site autheticity, ask the person to get a screen shot in PDF and then proceed on to certification.

If you are giving duplicate copy of original documents with certification of the validity of document then it will be treat such certified copy as extract of original document and have same value as original.

If you are not giving original copy of documents then you can provide its certified copy whether it is from website or from your own records.
