cenvat of transformer

We are an exporter of copper electric components.We going to purchase a new high capacity transformer for our plant.
sir,my question is can i avail the cenvat of transformer ?

please annswer me.

26 July 2009 Mainly transformer is installed for taking HT connection, and as per the agreement will Electricity Board, the ownership goes to the the Board.

Kindly check up the agreement with the Board and if it is the situation, u can not take the credit of Cenvat.

secondly, if it is installed out side the factory premises, availment of the cenvat is wrong .

But the transformer is purchased by us.and the invoice showing our name as cossignee.

And also there is no specified agreement withelectricity dept. for availing of cenvat credit.

And i heard somebodyelse that u can"t avail the modavit if it is power generating machines
