whether we can take cenvat credit on courier services.

By abundant precaution, if the courier service used in relation to procurement of inputs, the CENVAT credit may be justified.

More recently tribunal in the matter of CCE,Raipur v/s Beekay Engg & Castings Ltd[2009(16)STR 709(Tri)]has allowed credit on service tax paid on courier service used as inward freight charges.
