Pls clear me the points:-

1. Whether input on service tax paid for marketing research, commission on sales be utilised for payment of outpur service tax on Transportation of goods on road service?
2. is it necessary to show the such service tax paid as input in half-yearly return before taking such credit in following quarter?

21 October 2014 1.Please check if you are paying service tax on GTA under reverse charge.If that is the case,you cannot take cenvat credit for payment of S.T on GTA.You need to pay the service tax by challan.

2.Yes balance of input cenvat credit is to be shown in Service tax return ,to use it in the following quater.
