Can we take the CENVAT credit on R&D (reserch & Development)Equipment(capital Goods)Please guid us w/relevant notification/Circular.

There have been decision against the same but in my view there is no reason that the same is to be denied as it is used in or in realtion to manufacture. In fact R&D is the heart of many pharma/ innovative companies.
The high value addtion also comes from new inventions. However you may have to face disputes from dept. in this reagrd.
