07 August 2009 my question is that i am managing a proprietorship firm in the name of servcies consultancy and i am the propreitor. Now i want to change the name of propreitor. i am registered with sales tax department, can i change

07 August 2009 You can change with completing document filling work with sales tax department and other with those u are ragistered, else you can dislove the current one and get started with other.

08 August 2009 yes change of name is possible but at the same time intimation to all the concerned department is mandatory for smooth continuation of work.
