Hi All,
Can a husband give a marriage gift to wife on occasion of their marriage in form of cash/cheque?
If yes, till what amount and if no, then what other forms are allowed?

Dear Shruti,
A husband can give marriage gift to wife in cash, cheque or kind. It will not be taxable. Even gift received from others on occasion of marraige is not taxable.
