Can a pvt ltd company have volunteers?

12 March 2014 Can a pvt ltd company have volunteers. For example, people wishing to be volunteers will be sent articles online. The volunteers may make corrections/ advice on the articles as per their will & they are not paid for it.Can an Indian Pvt Ltd company do this? The company while engaging the volunteers shall have an agreement with the volunteers specifying that this will not form an employee-employer relationship. Is that enough?

12 March 2014 there is no money given to the volunteers for this & in the agreement it is included that volunteers are not on contract either. They have a free will to volunteer or not

13 March 2014 well it is very similar to what we have Ca club India..i dont think there is any tax exposure....we all are volunteers here at CCI which is run by a pvt limited company!
